sautéed green beans recipe

Sautéed Green Beans

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 pound green beans
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • pepper

  1. In a large sauté pan add water and green beans. Turn heat to high and bring water to a boil. Lower heat to medium and simmer for 6-7 minutes.
  2. Using tongs, transfer green beans to the serving bowl.
  3. Dump water down drain. Be careful because the water and pan will be very hot. Use oven mits.
  4. Place green beans back in hot sauté pan, add oil, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Turn heat back on to medium. Sauté green beans until the garlic cooks and coats the beans – about 2 minutes. Taste for seasoning.
