Simple Side Dish
This is the side dish I could most often. The combination of roasted broccoli and garlic powder is seriously a match made in heaven. I find myself non-stop eating it when it comes out of the oven because it's so addicting. When we call them "trees," my picky eater, Owen, actually eats them too!
My go-to side dish because it's easy, healthy, and delicious. It makes for great leftovers too, especially if you add to a pasta!
- 2 heads of broccoli, cut into smaller pieces Cut into preferred size - the smaller they are the quicker they'll cook. Just make sure the pieces are all about the same size.
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt more if needed
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with foil. This just reduces clean up time.
Place cut up broccoli pieces on baking sheet. Cover in oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Spread evenly on baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes. Flipping about 3/4 through the time. The baking time all depends on how big you cut the broccoli spears.
