No Takeout Monday-Thursday
The creation of food delivery companies is a dangerous thing. After a long day of work or playing with the kiddos, it’s often difficult to find the motivation to cook. But paying $40+ for dinner gets expensive and quickly adds up. With the ending of school, Ian and I were relying on delivery more than I’d like to admit. So, this month, I’m going to focus on saving $$ and cooking dinner at home.
Work for 3 Hour Block in Morning
I recently read The ONE Thing and now that I’m self employeed, I take any and all advice to guide my business decisions. While the author suggests a continuous 4 hour block of working, I’m going to work towards 3 hours. During this time, I’m going to focus my ONE thing – increasing site traffic to The Truthful Take. This also means no cell phone, no social media, no t.v., or no distractions during that time!
Put Phone Away When Boys are Home
I want to be more conscientious of not being on my phone in front of my boys. While it can be a little difficult at times because my job has a certain expectation of being present on social media, I know I don’t have to be on my phone much or at all from 5-8pm. I will still take pictures of my dinners or do a few insta-stories during dinner time, but other than that, I’ll be off my phone.
Tell Ian 1 Thing I Love About Him Everyday
Even though Ian is my best friend, husband, and true partner in life, it seems 99% of the time my focus is on the boys. I often think of reasons why he's the best dad or husband, but often don’t say it. So, the month of June is for me to tell him how amazing he is!
Brainstorm and Implement 2 Ways to Reduce Stress & Anxiety
As I’ve mentioned before, having kids caused my stress and anxiety levels to sky rocket. Some days are better than others, but on the whole I know I need to get a better handle on my stress. I know that stress is one of the biggest triggers for my sicknesses – and I’ve been sick A LOT this year. So, I'm on the hunt for relaxation methods, breathing techniques, or anything that will help decrease my stress!
Drink 8 Glasses of Water Per Day
I’m adding a 6th goal this month. I’m wanting to increase my water intake because right now I'd say I drink about 4 glasses a day. So, here's to drinking more water!
